The Administration on Children, Youth, and Families within the Department of Health and Human Services has announced a funding opportunity to support the establishment and operation of a National Communications System (Hotline) for youth who have run away, or are considering running away, and their families. The toll-free hotline will be designed to link youth and families across the country to shelters, counseling, medical assistance, and other vital services. The NCS will strive to be “a one-stop resource for youth in crisis offering crisis intervention, advocacy, information, and referral.”
A total of $1.6 million has been reserved for this funding. Applications are due by July 13.
