Job Corps' Presentation on High School Equivalency Tests: Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC)

Posted by Maisha Meminger - On June 04, 2013 (EST)

The Office of Job Corps hosted a series of Webinars in May 2013 focused on test features of three high school equivalency assessments that will be used in states throughout the country beginning in January 2014. The three Webinars provided the Job Corps community with additional guidance and understanding for making the transition from the 2002 GED assessment to the new high school equivalency exams.

The First was on the TASC; one of three new high school equivalency tests states will be using. The test publisher (CTB/McGraw-Hill) shared information about the test’s unique paper-based and computer-based formats; a sample test; logistics such as test registration, scheduling, costs and more; and essential curricular resources to help make the transition to the TASC.
